Mary was born January 7, 1934 in Reagor Springs, Texas and still resides there.  She's a prize winning cook and poet.

Uncle Gene passed away Sunday, November 7, 1999.  Carol Ann and Carla presented a beautiful eulogy for their father.

Thomas Eugene was born in San Antonio, Texas, October 4, 1929.  He was raised in Reagor Springs, attending the Reagor Springs School and graduating from Waxahachie High School.  He  was a proud Texas Aggie, graduating from Texas A&M with a B.S. in physics.  He served three years in the United States Army Ordinance Corps, receiving his discharge as a First Lieutenant.

He was married to Mary for 51 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, J.B. Hartsfield and his mother, Bertha Hargrove.

Gene and Mary Hartsfield of Reagor Springs are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.  They were married on Nov. 6, 1948, in Ennis by the Rev. H. H. McCollum.  H. D.,  Martha, and Mickey Allen of Waxahachie were their attendants.
 

The Hartsfields have just returned from an anniversary trip to Eureka Springs, Harrison, Ark. and Branson, Mo.  Bob and Rozann Milam of Midland accompanied them on their trip.

  Gene is a retired electronic engineer.  He worked for 35 years in engineering and management for E-Systems before retiring in 1991.  Mary is a homemaker and an award winning cook.
 

The Hartsfields have two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Glenn Wischnewsky of Hewitt, and Carla and Kenn Ross of Toronto Canada; and four grandchildren, Matt and Keri Wischnewsky of Hewitt, and Alex and John Ross of Toronto, Canada.
 

Gene and Mary are members of Heritage Baptist Church.

Carol Ann and her family now live in League City, TX.  Carol Ann has two children, Benjamin and Keri Anne. Carol Ann is a Spanish Teacher.

Carla and her husband, Kenneth Andrew Ross, have two sons, Alexander Milam Ross and John Austin McGregor Ross.  They live in Toronto, Canada and Carla is now teaching at Bishop Strachan, an exclusive girl's private school in Toronto.
