Melvin Splawn Milam's Family

Melvin, 77, passed away January 26, 2007 at Medical City, Dallas, TX.  He was born on December 17, 1929 and has lived in DeSoto, Texas the past 45 years.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a retired employee of the Keebler Cookie Company.  He was a deacon in the Baptist Church and thoroughly committed to his Lord Jesus the Christ.  The last years of his life he attended church at Hampton Road Baptist Church in DeSoto, Texas.  He was a loyal and devoted husband.  He was a committed loving father.  He never met a stranger and he will be missed terribly.  He was know everywhere as the "Cookie Man." 

Stan took this wonderful picture of his dad, Melvin, in 1999 in Colorado. They were at an elevation of about 12,000 feet at a place called Cordova Pass near the Spanish Peaks.

Melvin Splawn Milam was born was born December 17, 1929 in Reagor Springs, Texas and passed away January 26, 2007.  He married Hilda Kennieth Stanley December 29, 1951 in Dallas, Texas.  Hilda was born January 2, 1927 and passed away August 8, 2001. Click here for more about Hilda.

 

Melvin and Hilda have one daughter, Melva who is married to Don Bush.  They have two children, Allison Milam Bush and Meredith Milam Bush.  They have one stepson, Matthew Bush who is married to Cary Bush.  Matthew and Cary have two children, Jackson and Ashley.

They also have two sons, Stanley and Carlton.

Stanley is married to Cindy and they have one son, Max. 

Carlton has three sons, Zachary, Adam and Randy.
